Final BBC Winterwatch Tomorrow
The final episode of the BBC’s fantastic Winterwatch series airs tomorrow night and Iolo Williams continues to explore the magical wildlife that our area has to offer from his base at the Centre of Alternative Technology in Corris. This evening, Iolo is on the hunt for red kites, Wales’ national bird of prey.
The red kite has had an amazing success story in Wales and, thanks to visitor centres like Bwlch Nant Y Arian, the iconic bird of prey has thrived in Wales. Bwlch Nant Y Arian is well-known for its long established tradition of daily feeding of red kites where you can expect to see up to 150 coming in to feed.
Bwlch Nant yr Arian Visitor Centre sits at the head of a dramatic valley and has commanding views over Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains. There is a range of trails for walkers, mountain bikers, and runners which are waymarked from the visitor centre and it definitely makes the list of places to visit when staying with us at the Trefeddian Hotel, once it is safe for you to visit us again.
