The Hotel
After our festive weekend in early December, we take a little winter snooze. The hotel closes its doors and reawakens in mid January. If you’d like exact dates, just give our friendly team a call.
We’re tucked away at the southern edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Snowdon itself is around 55 miles away a scenic 1.5 to 2 hour drive.
Yes — and it’s a lovely stroll! Head down past the hotel swimming pool, over the road and across the golf course and sand dunes straight onto the beach. Alternatively, a 5 minute drive into Aberdyfi village gives you flat, easy beach access.
Absolutely. Pop in for drinks, bar snacks or afternoon tea, no booking needed. Order at the bar or reception and settle into any of our lounges. If you’re joining us for our popular Sunday Lunch, please book in advance as it fills up quickly. Non‑residents are also welcome for dinner, but this must be pre‑booked and is subject to availability.
We have plenty to keep everyone entertained…a heated indoor pool with jacuzzi spa bath, tennis court, pitch & putt, children’s playground, and a games room featuring snooker, pool, table tennis, air hockey and a playroom.
On rainy days, why not cosy up with one of our many board games or challenge yourself with a jigsaw puzzle. We also provide buckets, spades and other beach essentials, helping you pack a little lighter for your seaside adventures.

You’ll speak directly with our friendly and knowledgeable reception team, who can help you choose the ideal room and note any special requirements. Direct bookings only require a £75 per person deposit, unlike the non‑refundable, full‑payment bookings made through Booking.com ours follow our own cancellation policy, which may allow for a refund.
Your £75 per‑person deposit is refundable with 21 days’ notice. Cancellations or amendments within 7 days may incur charges for nights we’re unable to re‑let. We strongly recommend holiday insurance.
Yes — complimentary Wi‑Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Aberdyfi has a train station on the Cambrian Line, we’re also on a local bus route. Timetables are available at Reception.
We have a selection of gift vouchers from monetary vouchers to treats like Afternoon Tea, Sunday Lunch or even a bottle from our Wine List.
We’re proud holders of an AA 4‑Star rating, the AA Breakfast Award and a 5‑Star award for our self‑catering accommodation.
We don’t offer transport ourselves, but Reception has local taxi numbers ready for you.
Dogs
Yes — dogs are welcome in our standard bedrooms (maximum two per room, £15 per dog per night). The 4th floor superior rooms are pet free. If you are thinking about bringing your four legged friend on holiday please view our Pet Policy.

No — Seascape I & II are pet‑free retreats.
Sorry — dogs aren’t permitted in the dining room for breakfast or dinner.
Bar snacks and sandwiches are served in the Study and Bar from 12.15–5pm. For dinner, we’re happy to arrange room service if you do not wish to leave your four-legged friend. (Evening bar snacks aren’t available.)
Dining
Smart casual. No need for a jacket or tie. Smart jeans are welcome, we simply ask that sportswear and shorts are not worn.
No booking needed for hotel guests. Dinner is served 6.50pm–8.45pm, and a table will be allocated for you. We kindly request that guests are seated by 8.30pm.
Breakfast is served from 7.45am to 9.30am.
Absolutely. Let us know in advance and our kitchen will prepare dishes tailored to your needs.
No, simply join us between 2pm and 5pm for sandwiches, homemade cakes, tea or coffee in one of our cosy lounges or on the terrace. Order at Reception or the Bar.
Bedrooms
Yes — every room includes one.
Bathroom layouts vary. Most rooms have a bath with an overhead shower, some offer walk‑in showers. Contact Reception if you have specific requirements.
Check‑in is from 3pm, though you’re welcome to arrive earlier and enjoy the facilities. If your room is ready sooner, we’ll let you know. Check‑out is by 10.30am.
Rooms don’t have individual fridges, but each landing has a shared guest fridge.
Yes — some rooms can accommodate families of up to six. Speak to Reception and we’ll find the perfect fit.
Swimming Pool
Yes — pool towels are complimentary.
The pool is 40ft (12.2m) long, with a depth that gradually increases to 6ft at the deep end.
No — the pool is exclusively for hotel guests.
Open daily from 7am to 7pm. On Mondays and Thursdays, the pool closes briefly from 9–9.30am for cleaning.
Parking
Yes — we have a large free car park. Limited garage spaces are available for £5 per night and can be booked in advance.
Yes — six charging points are available via the Pod Point app. Please bring your own cable.
We do — spaces are located near Reception and offered to disabled drivers, on a first‑come first‑served basis.
What can I do during my stay?

How to get there:
By road: Around 25 minutes’ drive to Tywyn Wharf Station.
By mainline train: Take the Cambrian Line from Aberdyfi to Tywyn (approx. 10 minutes), then it’s a short walk to the Talyllyn Railway station.
By bus: Local buses run between Aberdyfi and Tywyn; timetables are available at Reception.
Visit the award‑winning Dyfi Osprey Project and watch these magnificent birds in their natural habitat. Live cameras, elevated hides and knowledgeable volunteers make it a fascinating experience.
How to get there:
By road: Approximately 20 minutes’ drive to the Cors Dyfi Reserve.
By mainline train: Travel from Aberdyfi to Machynlleth (about 15 minutes), then take a short taxi ride or local bus to the reserve.
By bus: Buses run from Aberdyfi to Machynlleth, with connections to the reserve.
