The Beach

Far from the madding crowd, Aberdovey’s award‑winning beach stretches for four miles, offering magnificent, powder‑soft sands and a sense of space that feels wonderfully freeing. Just a five minute stroll from the hotel, it’s a haven for sandcastle building families and a beautiful backdrop for romantic sunset strolls. To make seaside adventures even easier, we provide buckets and spades for little ones to take down to the beach.

Many of our rooms, self catering properties and guest lounges enjoy uninterrupted views of the sweeping dunes, so you can savour the seascape from the moment you arrive.

Cardigan Bay is home to Britain’s largest population of bottlenose dolphins, and the Trefeddian sits in a prime position overlooking their coastal playground. On calm summer evenings, dolphins are often spotted gliding through the bay, creating unforgettable moments for lucky onlookers. Early summer is the best time to see them as they make their way south toward New Quay, their seasonal home.
