The Ultimate Gift Guide

No trip away is complete without the obligatory gift-buying to take souvenirs home to loved ones, house sitters, pet sitters or even your pet! Here is run down of what’s local to the Trefeddian to give you some ideas.
Dyfi Dogs in Aberdovey

A 15-minute walk will take you into the centre of Aberdyfi where there is a wonderful selection of shops to browse with lots of unique gifts. Sweet Willow has interiors, home furnishings, ladies fashion and accessories; a lovely shop to browse for an unusual gift. Dyfi Dogs has everything you would want to buy for your four-legged friend, from food and treats, to toys and accessories. Artworks Aberdovey has everything from art, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, books, cards and gifts. Also the sweet shop has plenty for you to stock up on, as well as the most amazing home-made ice cream.

You might like to take home a souvenir that reminds you of Aberdyfi all year round. Some of the artwork displayed in our hotel is by local artists Glyn and Claire Davies from Gallery Aberdyfi, and is for sale directly with us.

Corris Caverns

Corris Craft Centre has an abundance of craft shops and workshops. It comes highly recommended for a day trip, and you will be spoilt for choice with the selection of gifts on offer. You will find Agau Jewellery Studio, the Candle Studio, Chocablock (handmade chocolate and fudge), Delyn Glass (flamework and glass sculptures), Hyde and Sheep (leather and wool gifts), Quarry Pottery (pottery and ceramic dragons), Sammi Wilson Art and Photography, and Taran Eco Designs (wooden furniture and gifts). There is also Dyfi Distillery, a family-owned gin producer using locally-foraged botanicals and also the Corris Welsh Deli where you will find the country’s finest produce - perfect to take home for gifts or even as a luxurious Welsh food and drink gift hamper.

Hopefully there are some ideas here for you take home as gifts or just to spoil yourself as a memento of your time at the Trefeddian.
