Discover Ospreys
The family friendly Dyfi Wildlife Centre is home to Dyfi Osprey Project a fabulous place to visit on a miserable weather day. Hours can be spent watching the ospreys and taking in the panoramic views of the Dyfi Valley. from the fabulous 360 Observatory. Live high definition nest cams show all the comings and goings from the ospreys’ nest and a specially built viewing tower is equipped with telescopes and binoculars to spy on all the fabulous wildlife that surrounds the site including the newly introduced beavers.
Bounce like a Berry
Something for all the family from little ones to grumpy teens would definitely be a trip to Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Unleash the inner thrill seeker in you all on the enormous underground net adventure and slide through the disused mine. For the more adventurous (or mad whatever the case may be!) why not have a go on the incredible zip line at Zip World, soaring above Llechwedd Slate quarry at impressive heights, this is not for the faint hearted!
Get Crafty
If you’re feeling like it’s gin o’clock after a few days away with the family then a trip to Corris Craft Centre and Dyfi Distillery has to be done! Just a few miles from the hotel you will find a fun afternoon out, with wonderful workshops to keep the children entertained, underground adventures sailing through magical waterfalls and most importantly…gin! Not for the little ones obviously!
