To celebrate International Dog Day, we share our top three favourite dog walks.
Two dogs on a beach

Splash around on the beach

With four miles of golden sand on our doorstep, the beach is a must for you and your buddy. Watch your loveable pooch jump for joy over the waves, exploring the beach and sand dunes, while you get to enjoy the stunning views and a gentle stroll.

Two dogs at Nant Gwernol

Woodland wanders at Nant Gwernol

You can either drive or take the Talyllyn Railway to these beautiful woodlands which lie on the edge of Abergynolwyn village. Furry friends love exploring the many trails and splashing around in the river that run through the woods. There are three waymarked trails to explore, all varying in length, taking you alongside cascading waterfalls and water pools which dogs adore. And for you, there are little bits of history to discover dotted along the way.

Two dogs at the Broadwaters

Bounce along the broadwaters

Just outside Tywyn, you will find a firm favourite with our four-legged friends. You can make this walk as long or as short as you like as you meander along the Dysynni. Your pooches will love splashing in the river as you meander along, enjoying the views up to Cadair Idris. A couple of miles along the river will take you to Ynysmaengwyn, a beautiful woodland setting with a hidden fairy glen and bug hotel. For those who want to properly tire out their pooches, why not continue your walk onto the village of Bryncrug or try out our Broadwater Loop walk?
